Terms & Conditions
Health and medical conditions:
The Body Studio is not a substitute for medical care and offers no health warranties or guarantees of any kind. The information we provide is not intended as a substitute for medical advice from your GP or health professional.
On arrival you will be asked to complete a Consent Form disclosing any existing medical conditions and warrant that you are in good physical condition (except as stated on the form), and you accept that you exercise/undertake a treatment at your own risk and that conditions not disclosed here could have the effect of an unsatisfactory workout/treatment. If you have any specific conditions, it is always advised that you consult a G.P. before undertaking any new exercise regime.
You agree to inform The Body Studio of any changes, including pregnancy as soon as you are aware of them. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
Your safety within the studio:
The Body Studio cannot accept liability for personal injury related to participation in a session if i) your doctor has advised you against exercise on medical grounds ii) you fail to observe instructions or safety techniques iii) you fail to disclose any new medical conditions or injuries at the start of the session. If during the class, you experience pain or discomfort you must stop immediately and notify Sharon.
What to wear:
Suitable clothing must be worn, such as leggings and a t-shirt. This should not be restrictive, or too baggy and no riveted/studded clothing is to be worn. For hygienic reasons we ask that you wear socks, ideally with grips when using the Pilates equipment.
Cueing:
I use verbal, visual, and tactile cues. Please inform me if you are uncomfortable with a hands-on approach prior to your session.
Payment:
Due to limited availability and high demand payment is required by BACS at the time of booking your session(s) to confirm your booking. If this is not received within 48hrs of your request to book, the slot will be opened to others. Please speak to me directly if you have any questions about this.
A block of 5 or 10 classes is payable in full at the start of the course and are valid for 3 & 6 months respectively. If you wish to cancel a block booking partway through, the cost of each class taken will revert to the standard single-class rate. The refund for the remaining sessions will be adjusted accordingly. The discounted price is applicable only for those who commit to and complete the entire block.
If you are late arriving for a session, your scheduled session will be shortened by the amount of time being late.
Cancellation Policy:
We know things crop up and we understand busy lives can mean changes to your schedule but if you wish to change or cancel your appointment, please provide us with a minimum of 2 full working days’ notice. If less than 2 full working days’ notice is given, or you do not attend your scheduled session this will count as a late cancellation and the full amount of the session will be charged.
If you are on a course of 5 or 10 sessions and you cancel one of your classes within 2 full working days, the session will be forfeited.
If you want to see results from your Pilates/YBR you need to be consistent with your practice. Prioritise yourself and protect your class in your diary.
Adverse weather:
The Body Studio is under no obligation to refund classes that may be missed due to local adverse weather when the venue and environs are safe and accessible, and classes are going ahead. We regret that we are unable to offer automatic refunding or rescheduling of lessons in the event of adverse conditions local to yourselves which prevent you from attending a scheduled class.
Changes to Terms & Conditions:
From time to time, we may update these terms by sending you either an updated version or notification of minor changes.
